How to prep hemp

I just bought 6 Baby Kicks Joey Bunz hemp inserts/doublers. How Do I prep these for maximum absorbancy and can I use them alone or do I have to add them to my microfiber insert. Also does the hemp go on top of the microfiber or underneath it in the pocket? Any other advice or tips on hemp/doublers would be great. I want to get rid of the night time disposables any tips on using a BG 4.0 for night time??

Wash in hot alone otherwise the hemp oil will get on other diapers.  I was told 3-4 washes and you only need to use detergent the first time.  I also dried on hot in between the washes so help shrink the material.  The diapers don't need to be completely dry in between, just mostly dry.  It takes about 8 washes for hemp to be at it's max absorbency but you can start using them after a few washes.

I just prepped my hemp and then use it as a doubler during the day for a couple hours.  After the 8 washes I'll try it at night.

you can use it as absorbency by itself, but you may need more if you're using it at night time.

If you're going to pair it with microfiber, I would put it underneath the microfiber. MF absorbs quicker than hemp so it should go through the MF and then into the hemp.

once they're all prepped you can wash with all other diapers.  It's just getting that oil off them initially so they don't cause repelling on other diapers.

JoeyBunz don't have snaps, so you can boil them as well. 

You can use them alone, they are a hemp/cotton blend, so they'll absorb quickly enough to be used alone.

This. I boil my new hemp for about 40 minutes in my GIANT pot and am able to use it after that. It takes a few more washes to reach maximum absorbency but it works just fine until then!

Exactly me as well.  And I also use them exclusively at night (until I can build up a bigger stash of hemp) underneath the main BG microfiber insert.
