Wait, now I'm freaking out re: blue dye tests

Ugh!!!  Why do I do this???

I just read that blue dye tests are not reliable and should not be used because they can give false positives?  Is this true?  I didn't think there was such a thing as a "false positive."  Both of my HPTs were with blue dye and they both showed lines.

I'm so scared now that they weren't in fact BFPs.

Re: Wait, now I'm freaking out re: blue dye tests

  • blue dye testing has more of a chance of evaporation lines.  i also found most blue line tests didn't always get darker.  i never got a false + on blue line test.

i would go get some first response w/ pink lines to make sure.

i think you're fine but FRER are my fav HPT's

  • It's not going to be a majority of false positives, or they wouldn't be on the market.  I'd listen to worms and go get a first response.  GL!!!

  • i never got a false positive on blue line tests but i will say they were darker than FRER (i po frer and target brand (blue) everyday) so I was worried when i got a line on target before frer, but really it turned out i did have a line on frer but didn't see it until after (like you know days after when you're not supposed to read it).  but i also started poas 3dp5dt (and got positive on blue) soooooooo anyway i would have to say you're pregnant dear!
