My step-daughter is pretty amazing....

So, I've mentioned before how DH, not realizing, will point out pregnant ppl and tell me to look... Well tonight my step-daughter sent my husband a txt while in the car that said " can I tell you something without you getting mad or telling Holly? Whenever you see a baby and say AWWW, that's completely fine, But saying Holly look at that baby, I think it makes her upset and probably breaks her heart. I've noticed you've said it a bit, Not a lot, But lately you have". That made my heart melt, and I can't tell her because I'm not suppose to know. I'm So glad he told me that. He said he doesn't do it intentionally, and I know that. Heck, I used to point out pg ppl and little babies all the time before hand.

    Love it! What a sweet, compassionate girl. I think your DH will think twice before making comments like that now.  
    It was a rough road, but Arlo Daniel was born April 1, 2013—and our second rainbow is due October 12, 2014.

    Dalaney born @ 35w2d via emergency C-section due to Pre-E after 30 hrs of labor & losing her HB twice. She weighed 5lbs 8oz & was 19in long on May 26th 2013 @ 605am

    Diagnosed w/ endometriosis 12/2010 Laproscopic surgery & 6 months of Lupron
    BFP 12/17/2011,EDD 8/23/12,ectopic discovered 12/29/11 at 6 weeks recieved methotrexate
    Dec '12 HSG & ultrasound showed abnormalities & more endo. Laproscopic surgery in January '13 showed significant damage & scar tissue from Endo. IVF is our best shot to concieve our rainbow.

    June '13 Decided to go the adoption route!

    Yep, she's a keeper. What a sweetheart, and I'm so glad she said something to YH. Even if you're not supposed to know, maybe you can treat your step-daughter to something. She doesn't have to know why but you will. Smile
    When out today I stopped at Starbucks and got her her favorite drink from there (one without coffee of course since she's only 11). And as I pulled in I said "since your such an awesome step-daughter, I thought I'd stop and get you something" she's enjoying her drink as I type.
