Babies: 9 - 12 Months

How many bottles

Does your 10/11 month old get

Right now were are still doing 3 bottles, but trying to break the morning bottle, to an actual breakfast, but she seems to be hungrier through out the day if we drop it.
She was also 3 weeks early so I dont know if that has anything to do with it as well?

TIA

Re: How many bottles

  • Ughh .......we are still doing 5 bottles a day. Can you believe that? LO is 25 pound 10 month old  baby that has been walking around for a month, and still has 5-6 bottles a day. You are doing great comparing to us.

I just got a letter from the daycare with info about when LO moves to toddler room and it says to try and get over the bottles by that time. They move around 1 year old. I swear I am going to pack his bottles when he goes to college..

  • we are at 4 6oz bottles. But there is this weird bottle that has been coming close to dinner and I think I'm going to replace it with a little bit of milk and some crunchies or something. But I might actually wean it down before then idk. Like right now his last bottle was at 11am and then lunch at 1 and he took a nap at 3 and is still sleeping at 4:30. Dinner is at 6:30/7 so he need something before then I just don't know if he needs a whole bottle though. He gets one at 8pm for bed.

5am/5:30- 6oz bottle ( i can't replace this until he stops waking up for it, he is so close to sleeping 11 hours straight but will not stop waking up for this bottle)

    11/11:30: 6oz sippy

3:30/4: 6oz sippy  (this is the one that is starting to phase out)

    8pm: 6oz bedtime bottle

  • 5-6 / 5oz per day. She's 9.5m but I honestly don't see it changing any time in the near future.

  • 4 4oz bottles while I'm at work and 2 nursing session, plus night feedings.
  • 5-6, on average 30oz a day. I'm letting her cut back on her own. She's not eatting a lot of solids so I know she still needs the formula.

  • On a work day he gets a morning and bed time nursing plus 3x5oz bottles. He also nurses around 4am.

On weekends he nurses every 3 hours plus the 4am feeding.

  • We were on 6, 5 oz bottles a day until just recently. DD is now down to 3, 5oz bottles most days (morning bottle, lunch bottle, and evening bottle). Tonight she only took about 2 oz of her evening bottle. I don't see the morning bottle being gone for quite awhile but maybe the bedtime bottle will faze out... DD is also already 11.5 months old. A month ago she was nowhere near ready to drop bottles and still didn't like solid foods. She is just starting now to want solids rather than bottles.

  • Mine is still on about 6 a day?  I didn't know I was supposed to be cutting them down... He only gets small amounts of solids 3 times a day... Should I be cutting him back on bottles and adding solids?

I offer 3 8oz bottles, but he probably eats about 5oz of each, on average. He eats a lot of solids though. My pedi says some babies prefer formula/BM and some prefer solids - mine prefers solids, no doubt!

He drinks the most at his afternoon bottle, but if I offered a snack instead, I'm sure he wouldn't care.  He does seem to really want his morning and bedtime bottles.

    DS is 10.5 months.
