I think it's commonly agreed that this sucks! I'm trying my best to be optimistic and create a new plan for this cycle. Here are my ideas:
1. Vitex seemed to work well! My O date moved from about CD18-20, to CD 14! Also, I had a 12 day LP, instead of 9 like my last two cycles. I will definitely continue to use Vitex.
2. I'm officially on a temping break, until I feel like I can start again without losing my mind.
3. I'm going to try the "Sperm Meets Egg" plan : https://www.pregnancyloss.info/sperm_meets_egg_plan.htm
4. Exercise! I was training for a 5k when I got pregnant with Bunny. Now, I definitely won't overdo it but I still plan to hit the eliptical a few times a week.
So tell me, CD1'ers, what is your game plan? Will you be trying anything different? Read any new research you would like to share? Of course, if you're not CD1 and want to reply too, go ahead! The more, the merrier!
Onwards and upwards ladies!
Edit: Typo. I want you to come on in, not come on it! Lol
Re: If you're CD1 today, come on in!
((hugs)) to us.
I actually *just* posted my possible plans for this cycle in the Not TTC/Not TTA thread a few threads down.
If we got pg this cycle, we'd have a BFP mid to late June and an EDD of late Feb/early March. We have a big trip planned for late June, that would be doable being 4-6 weeks pg, but would be nicer if I was not pg. Also, maternity leave around that EDD would be a nightmare due to increased work needs during that time frame. In the grand scheme of things, though, I'd gladly sacrifice those things to be KU. However, I also burned myself out last cycle doing just about everything imaginable to get pg and failed. I want a baby so bad, but at the same time, could use a breather. I don't want to 100% stop charting because I need to gather evidence about my concerns for late O/short LP to provide to my RE (and I'm currently kicking myself for not charting during my TTA cycles a couple of months ago).
I'm toying with the following options:
1. Temp on week days at my normal wake up time, skipping weekends. No OPK's. Only DTD when we want to, not when we feel like we have to.
2. Skip temping. OPK starting at CD14, but not stressing about PIAC at certain times or dehydrating myself and holding my pee for hours. Only DTD when we want to, not when we feel like we have to.
3. Get over my CD1 burnout bitterness and full out balls-to-the-walls TTC, temping at 5am every day, using OPK's starting at around CD12, pickle myself with my current vitamin regiment plus Vitex (which I haven't tried yet), drink green tea until O, look in to acupuncture, practice fertility meditation, DTD when we want to up until CD18, then EOD/ED as able until +OPK, then ED until CH's at 3dpo.
Decisions decisions...Ooops! Sorry I didn't realize that I wrote such a similar post to the one from earlier.
The bolded section about mat leave during that time of year I could have written myself, as my situation is exactly the same. But like you, I am not willing to waste a cycle just because of that.
Your option #2 sounds a lot like what I plan to do. If it feels right, go for it!
Good luck Gator! Sorry it's CD1.
Ooops, duplicate post!
Don't be sorry. Your post is totally different, because at CD1 we might not be NTTC/NTTA.
Good luck to you too and I'm sorry you're also on CD1.
