Now that I am a few months from finally being able to post here as a parent, this board is currently in life support. Makes me sad and a little mad that everyone up and left for supposedly greener pastures.  I guess the PAIF ladies will have to revive SAIF.

And, FWIW, now-IF didn't exist until weeks before I got pg with DD1 and SaIF didn't start until the end of my second trimester with her and it was mostly a pg board until around her 1st birthday, i.e what PaIF is now.  PaIF is lucky enough to already be a strong community, and one of the many amazing things about this group is that it keeps getting stronger as people transition over.

I can promise you that people who want it will have friendly faces and access to support!  Enough of us wouldn't have it any other way.

I still lurk but haven't posted. It is sad to see this strong community torn apart. I think the bump has some serious issues to work through and privacy is a big one.

I'm still here.  True, I'm also other places, but I do check this often since I use other boards on TB that aren't IF related. 

I can't wait to hear your Birth Story--although I can until you are at your Due Date!

There's no invite only board. Don't know where that came from. There are some controls in place to weed out lurkers on the non-bump board but that's no different than the various private FB boards. SAIF can be whatever the active posters want it to be. A big complaint in the past, and the reason for PAIF, was that this board with toddlers and toddler moms had less to offer new graduates. I never believed that to be the case but as it stands now there's a whole new crop of PAIFers who post actively and want a place to post when their babies arrive. That is enough to keep this board going and those of us with older kids will probably still be here in the wings.

i'm still here but very new to SAIF and feeling kinda lost on what board to go to.  There will be a huge influx of IF people here soon, so we will just have to revive it.  I can't do the multiple boards, too many sights to go to.

Definitely not an invite-only board.   All of the info to get there is still posted down the page, not hiding anywhere.   But we are also still figuring it out, too.   The changes the bump has been trying to make just freaked us all out, since our posts are all about our kids.   But we haven't forgotten about you guys are where we came from, and we will figure it out.   Promise!

I'd love to see the traffic pick up here again. I've been sort of following the crowd around but feel a bit lost at the moment Its frustrating. I've been hanging out on my BMB a lot more as a result.

I am still around, seeing if I can offer any support or advice.  I know that if I was in the same position as many PAIFers, I also would be upset and probably hurt that so many of us seemed to jump ship.  If I'm being honest, the privacy concerns here, combined with lots of lurkers and some very cruel trolls, really started to make me feel uneasy.  The new board is NOT invite only -- all are welcome, but I know we as a group are trying to figure out some ways to make the board more private and a bit more safe (otherwise it would be no different from this board). 

We would LOVE to have the new SAIFers join us over there, but I completely understand if you ladies want to stay here because this is where you feel most comfortable.  I promise I will continue to check in where I can to see what I can offer to the board.

It's not just this board. The traffic has slowed to a crawl on a lot of Bump boards.

I mainly lurk here and save my posting energy for Special Needs. People will come back.

I agree. I was around a couple years ago, and recently started lurking hoping to come back. I am hoping to do a FET this summer or fall. But all the drama has kept me from jumping back in.

 

Maybe it is just a good time to start fresh.

It does really suck, but it's mostly TB that screwed things up rather than the board.  I'm pulling for you ladies even though I don't have time to spend hanging around here (or FB) much anymore.  But you know where to find me...

Actually, I dont think we have figured it out yet. We had have a fb group in place for some time now, in order to have someplace to go when the board was suffering glitches. It is not exclusive, and I think there is a post a bit down on how to get in!

 But I agree, most of us check in here daily, too!

This! I think the PAIF board started close to when DS was expected but I didn't post over there since I was already here. When I was pregnant with DD I never posted there since again I was here and I've done my BMB.  I figured no one who came from IF or IFV would know me anyway.
