Bedtime sippy/bottle

Chloe didn't drink a sip last night and the night before if she had an ounce that would be a lot.  For a few weeks now she's been steadily drinking less.  So I'm thinking that she's dropped her bedtime sippy?  I didn't think kids dropped this until later.  We do dinner around 5:30 and bedtime's not until 8:30, so it's not like dinner is right before bed.

Do your LO's still take milk before bed?

  • The twins are eating three solid meals a day plus little snacks, nursing three times a day (they just dropped a session) and then taking 4-5 oz. of WCM in a bottle before bed. We brush their teeth before putting them down for the night

We're still transitioning from a bottle. He usually gets 3 bottles of WM (morning, lunch, bedtime). Today we'll only be giving him his bedtime bottle. I'm hoping by next weekend (my personal timeline) to be off bottles by next week. But to answer your question, yes, DS still gets milk before bed (about 7oz)

  • So, on a whim tonight, I switched up Nora's bedtime routine. I gave her a sippy cup with milk just before 7 p.m. Bathtime is at 7:15 and then PJs, songs and snuggles, and then her crib at 8:00. It's 8:38 and she's still in there talking and fussing on and off, but she seems no worse for the wear. We'll see how the night goes.

  • I offer LO a small 4 oz bottle at bed time.. she takes it most nights but sometimes over all refuses.  We're transitioning.. she still gets a bottle in the morning and a bottle at night but sippy's the rest of the day.

  • Baby boy still takes at least 7 oz (usually a full 8) as part of his bedtime routine.  I wish he'd start to drop it, because transitioning away from bottles so far has been quite unsuccessful.

  • DS eats dinner with us at 5:30. He gets a snack (sippy of milk and maybe a graham cracker or something) at 7:30. Then we brush his tooth, sing lullabies and it's bedtime. He is usually in his crib at 8 and asleep by about 8:15pm.
