Not really into meat....

DS always throws the meat off of his tray (good for the dogs) the only meat he will eat is meatballs and hotdog (which i only give him hotdog about 1x a week). he also gets eggs 2x a week. Anyone elses LO not into meat? He loves pretty much everything else just wondering if its a phase or how i'm cooking  it

Re: Not really into meat....

  • Not only is mine not into meat, but for some reason it seems like every time I give her even a tiny amount.. she ends up getting some kind of diaper rash. I'm not pushing the issue and waiting until her next appt. to bring it up with the pedi.

Sorry I can't help with suggestions.

DD is kind of the same way. I have found that she really loves chicken nuggets, though. I get the Foster Farms Breast Nuggets, and they only have a little bit of breading. She also likes ravioli with a little meat in 'em.

  • Mine is not always a fan either.

She like hamburger and ham the most and even that's iffy unless we're having a good day.

She's just learned to like shredded chicken...it made her gag for months.

She's into phases with her food though. One week she wants nothing but fruit. The next nothing but veggies and the 3rd it's all carbs all the time.

Whatever...I just give her options and she eats what she eats. She'll grow into it eventually.

I'm just glad she's not fussy...she really does like most things and that's more important to me than anything.

Try playing with seasonings. I made my LO meatballs (ground turkey, carrot pur?e, breadcrumbs) and she ate them but wasn't crazy about it. I put a bit of garlic in my next batch and can't get enough!
