DS used the one sent home from the hospital and I purchased replacements but cannot remember the brand. They looked very similar to the Philips Avent ones. It might have been those.
It probably was a gumdrop. They have the same nipple shape as the Avent soothies, but are becoming more popular due to the cutout at the top for baby's nose. I don't know what you mean by "vanilla scented?" if you are asking if they are vanilla scented - not that I've ever noticed.
When ordering there is an option for Vanilla Scented...I was wondering if anyone had noticed a benefit and how strong the scent.
Why Vanilla? The sense of smell is one of the first senses to develop in newborns ~ and, professional literature shows Vanilla scent can be soothing to some babies. We offer Hawaii Medical GumDrop in both Natural and Vanilla scent so you and your baby can choose
Huh, I have not seen that option (just got mine at the store), but that is neat. I have heard that about vanilla though - one of the Sophie the Giraffe teethers we got is vanilla scented.
thats interesting about the vanilla. i've never seen that. but i guess it doesn't matter for me since my DD HATES the gumdrop pacis. she did the soothies for a little while but now does the avent ortho pacis.

The gumdrop paci in the stores is NOT the same one you get from the hospital. If you want the hospital ones you need to go to https://www.gumdroppacifier.com/GumDrop-Pacifier-s/3.htm. These are USA made and there is an optional vanilla scent because babies are supposedly attracted to that scent. The company that makes Sophie the giraffe also offers vanilla scented items....

When DS would take a pacifier, he liked the Gumdrop ones. I got them at Target.
They did have a vanilla scent to them. I didn't see anything on the package indicating that they were scented.
It wasn't a strong smell. Just a mild vanilla scent.
