helium shortage?

I just saw someone posting about this on FB, I had no idea. Anyone having any trouble? My friend was saying she can't buy the little helium tanks anymore, and the stores are giving a max # of balloons you can have filled, bc the hospitals need the helium?

That's weird that you said this.  All of the Dollar Trees around here have been without helium for months now.  My SIL does balloon arrangements, so I'm counting on her to fill M's balloons.  I'll have to double check with her that she has a full tank.

i saw that vinegar/baking soda thing and got excited at first, but it doesn't produce helium, just blows up the balloon like you could with air. They don't float.

I've seen the little tanks (for around $20) at Target, BJ's and IParty just in the past few days. We're planning on getting one for our party!
