So, our old snap n go stroller is a bit damaged (our fault) and I'd been planning to spend some $$$ on a double BOB at some point......there are just so many options. Like, the duallie (?) with a revolving front wheel versus the jogging type with the "straight/non-manouverable" front wheel. Also I've heard the 2011 versions are better. Is this true? Worth the 600-700 bucks? Any opinions or personal experience? (our twins are 7 months, pretty small guys b/c premature but healthy active boys.)
Re: BOB stroller recommendations ..... (for twins)
Get the revolution. I locked my wheel to run the other day, and it was such a pain. Revolving front wheel makes it so nice to take places like the mall.
I have a 2011 that I got on sale. REI is having a member sale right now that you might be able to use a 20% off coupon on.
I have the one with the revolving wheel. I really like but, it is very, very heavy and it's BIG. I use mine for walks around the neighborhood. I wouldn't want to fold and unfold it putting it in the car. The stroller is about 50 lbs then, you get the kids in it at 25 lbs each it's really heavy. My 35 lb four year old likes to ride on the very front sometimes. Hills are damn near impossible pushing 135 lbs.
Again, I like it. I just really wanted to get the Donkey but, couldn't do 2000 for a stroller.
Well this might be a weird opinion but one I wish we'd had earlier- we have a BJ city mini & I love the fold, ease of use, etc. It is not a jogger however & I don't run.
BUT we recently bought a burley bike trailer for our kids b/c we moved to a place where biking is a lot easier (much more flat) and we love to bike. You can get a stroller conversion kit and I *think* it is jogging stroller style. We got the kit & I haven't actually assembled that part yet but it seems really comfy for kids & like a good alternative for those who like to bike AND jog/use that type of stroller. It folds decently flat also, I'm not sure how it compares in that dept to the BOBs though. (it weighs about 20 lb and holds up to 100lb of kid)
ETA I just re read your post and saw that this would probably be your primary stroller...my idea is definitely not good for that, but more for a jogger if you have another regular stroller you use for the usual non active type stuff. Sorry.
