Student Problems

I have a student who will not leave me alone about having a baby.  She brings it up every day and says that I need to name it after her.  I know she has the best of intentions but I feel like turning around and telling her I was pregnant 3 times and it hasn't worked out leave me the frick alone.  I know her intentions are pure but really I have tried to tell her to drop it and she hasn't gotten the hint.  (She is a sophomore in high school). 

Only 6 more days of school I guess....thanks for letting me rant.

Sorry! Just try and stick out these next 6 days. The wonderful thing about 15-16 year old girls is that they will tell everyone they know if you say a word about any of it. Hope next week flys by for you and you can enjoy your summer in peace!

I've had a few students ask me about babies, but my student's attention spans are pretty short (kinders) so they usually forget.  That would drive me nuts too.  Lucky on the 6 days left!  We have 9 days with students, then teacher work day, then 2 moving days (90% of staff are moving to new buildings due to a building closure).

That is very awkward.  I'm sorry you have to deal with it, unfortunately you can't tell her to back off like you would an adult.  At least you are almost done with school!

I second all of this - including the fact that I also have 14 days left of teaching. Boo!!!

I'm sorry that has happened to you.  I work in a high school too & teenagers can be absolutely clueless!
