TTC After a Loss

UPDATE: Bleeding around ovulation (maybe a little tmi)

UPDATE:  Called my Dr's nurse and explained what was going on.  She said that it could be implantation bleeding, although I doubt it according to FF.  She said that sex could irritate it.  She said that since I'm having no cramping and only very small clots, just to follow through and continue my charting through the end of this cycle.  And of course, if anything changes or worsens to call them to go in.  Thanks for your advice and concern.

Going by my FF chart, I'm thinking I O'd possibly yesterday.  Today when I woke up, my underwear had two good sized red stains.  It was pretty much like my 2nd day of a period.  When I wiped I had a clot about 1/2 inch in size and was dark red and rubbery/tough.  I wiped again and had a few more tiny clots.  I've had NO cramping to this point.  I used the restroom about a half hour ago and there was no blood in my pad, but I had very light red on the tissue.  This happened one other time during my last pg cycle.  At around 4dpo, I had the same thing happen the day after DH and I had sex.  Dr checked me at that time and discovered that the bleeding was coming from a small laceration on the outside the cervix; not from inside.  Probably from sex the night before.  Well this time, I'm around ovulation again (I'm pretty sure) but DH and I had sex two nights ago.  I'm just a little nervous.  Has anyone had a similar situation around O?  And if so, what did your dr say?  Thanks ladies. :)

  • i've read that sometimes mid-cycle spotting can indicate hormonal issues. You may want to check with your doc again.

  • I have weird bleeding too; actually, last night I was convinced AF was here (pretty much similar bleeding to yours; sorry, not trying to hijack your post!!)

I don't have experience with O bleeding, but I'm going to guess that you and YH have been BDing a lot before O; maybe the same thing as last time?

  • I had bleeding with sex at O time once or twice I believe after this most recent loss. It was never enough to have clots, but it was definitely red and flow-ish (does that make sense?). After a discussion with the board ladies, I came to the conclusion it was nothing to worry about. I don't actually have a doctor, so I never got a professional opinion about it. Hope that helps.

  • I O spot, (not bleed) every month, but it's never a dark red, mine is usually a light pink/brown.  I'd definitely bring it up to your dr, esp since this is the second month, just to be sure.  Let us know the outcome!

  • Since it's the 2nd month it's happened, I would call and ask about it. I've had spotting in my follicular phase the past two months, well more than a week before I O. I was glad I called. It's part of the overall picture in terms of figuring out what is going on.
