pic in sig and question on transitioning to crib

I finally uploaded a picture into my sig of my little girl.  Sorry for the layout, I'm having technical issues and this is the best I can do late at night.

I'm trying to decide when to transition her to the crib.  She currently sleeps swaddled in her RNP (lifesaver!) next to our bed.  For naps, she sleeps in her swing.  I'd like to move her into her crib soon.  She hasn't yet rolled over, and I'll probably keep her swaddled until she is rolling over.  She does have some reflux issues, so we'll probably have to elevate her crib somehow too.  If you co-slept, what age did you move your baby?

  • We moved A & R maybe 6 weeks ago...so they were 5.5ish months old.

  • Oh, she's so cute! That's a great picture :)

We live in a one bedroom apt - so we're still co-sleeping. He's in a crib now but we were bedsharing until he was about 7 mo actual, I think. I stopped swaddling really early after coming home from NICU because it was this time last year and the weather got way too hot for that. He's only starting to like blankets again now. Sheesh.

  •  Thanks! She's getting so big.  Last week she was 13 pounds.

That makes me feel better. I wasn't sure I really wanted to move her but my mother keeps commenting that she needs to be in her own room already.  Because of her respiratory issues I still wake up a couple of times a night to make sure she's still breathing.  We even use a snuza, so I just listen for the ticks.  I think i'm going to wait a little while longer until I'm ready.

Tune her out - tune them allllll out and just do what works for your family. Everyone has an opinion. What's with that? ;)

  • We moved Caroline over to the crib about a month ago so at one month old. I wasn't getting much sleep when she was in our room. We also have her crib elevated to help with the spit up. Good luck!
