And she's amazing! She used to move around a lot (her husband was in the air force) but they've settled here so I won't have to develop abandonment issues, and I'm pretty sure she's just past childbearing years so I don't have to worry about her getting pregnant on me!
Today's appointment was just an assessment type of appointment. She got to know a little about me, what makes me tick, what ticks me off, what my goals for therapy are, what I'm currently struggling with, etc. She's definitely aiming for the ROOT of my issues instead of the symptoms, which is absolutely amazing! She even gave me homework (to write, since she could see how much blogging has helped me) and told me that writing clearly helps me get my thoughts out. So I'm excited and looking forward to next Wednesday's appointment!!
Hooray for a polar opposite of the creeper dude counselor I had in high school!! ![]()
Re: So I had my first therapy session...
We lost our first (EDD 07/23/12) after finding out at 12 weeks there was no longer a heartbeat. Our rainbow was born 05/22/13 and was worth all we went through.
