This is a group designed for all the ladies in the various stages of waiting after a loss: waiting to miscarry, waiting for AF to arrive, waiting to TTC again, and waiting for a BFP.   Since this process is such a true test in patience, it is nice to have the support and friendship of other women going through similar experiences and emotions.

Hey ladies! Sorry I missed on Monday - I was getting ready for a job interview on Tuesday morning. (Interview went fine, but I didn't get it. I really went for the experience/getting my name out to more folks than anything.)

Update: Thanks to those who checked on me. MRI was fine - a little long. The only thing the tech told me was that I definitely have a pelvic kidney - I think he was just excited to see one! It's sitting right on my uterus.

I haven't heard anything from my RE yet, so I'll be calling there in the am. I just want to find out if I have a rudimentary horn that could be dangerous if I were to (miraculously) get pregnant on my own. I don't want to do another cycle of BCPs.

QOTD: There are several! My mom always tells about me sticking some little scissors in a plug on a tabletop make-up mirror. They say I came out wide-eyed and didn't say anything for like 10 minutes.

My kiddos are 2nd graders.  It's their first time testing something so high-stakes, so I wanted to pump them up   We just finished Language Arts today and have math tomorrow and Friday, and then we'll be *done*!  Yippee!

It was pretty scary, though it was in Amish Country Ohio, thankfully, so i was pretty safe hanging out with the Amish waitresses. It could have been a lot worse. I regularly remind my mom about how "terrible" she is. Lol.

Hello LIW!

I had an inconclusive u/s of a cyst near my ovary/tube this week.  And to follow up on Monday's LIW update, my doc told me not to worry about the fact that I didn't get AF at the designated time with the BCPs, and to just start the next pack. Thanks for pushing me to make the call! I'm still sort of stressed about it, but at least I know I'm following doctor's orders now. So: more waiting for me, plus an MRI in 6 weeks to see about that cyst. 

QOTD: hmm... My parents say I was a really stoic kid.  One time I dropped a whole brick on my foot when I was in elementary school and didn't tell anyone.  My mom noticed my bruised toes a day or two later and asked me what happened, so I told her.  She said "that must've hurt", and I said it did.

Yeah, chart is a bit of a downer, sorry.  You don't want to hold out another day or so before testing?

Wow, 2nd graders taking standardized tests? We start in 3rd grade which is also young and it stresses the kids out!

Update:  AF showed Monday and I gave myself my first injection last night.  I was really scared to do it but it was absolutely painless and I worked myself up after nothing! 

QOTD:  Every time an Amish buggy drives by my house (when my Mom is over) she recounts when I was like 10 and made her and my Dad stop the car so I could take pictures of an Amish buggy and their laundry hanging outside, LOL.

Hi ladies. I've missed the last couple check-ins.

I'm waiting to have a u/s for my lining next week, see the Dr. and start acupuncture next week. Had an 8 or 9 day LP this last cycle and am pretty frustrated about that, since last month was 12 days. Anxious to see what my Dr. says going forward, esp. b/c we weren't able to get my progesterone this cycle b/c I was OOT at 7dpo and had AF by the time I came back.

Question of the day: What story does your family always tell about you?

Probably about the time I fell water skiing...straight down on my butt and I ripped all my butt muscles. I was limping around the rest of the night but the worst part was b/c I got so much water up there, I had to fart a lot and it hurt every time I did and of course they would all chuckle!

Good morning ladies!  Well I'm waiting to O although I think I probably did yesterday so I'm waiting on those crosshairs.  But this morning I woke up with what I would call medium bleeding (like the second or third day of my period) , but no cramps.  ???  This happened to me one other time a few days after I O'd in my last pg cycle.  Dr said it was most likely from DH and I having sex the night before and that the bleeding wasn't coming from inside the cervix but from the outside.  Now this time, DH and I had sex two nights ago.  I'm a tiny bit freaked out.

QOTD:  My mom loves to tell the story of how we went to Florida to visit grandparents.  They put me down for a nap (I was around 1 1/2 yrs old) and when they heard me awake they came in to get me......well I had "fingerpainted" the walls with what was in my diaper!  Embarrassing but my mom loves to remind me! lol

Update: Waiting to O this cycle. I got a little EWCM yesterday, so hopefully that means soon. I am anxious to see what my cycle is like this month as last month was a couple days shorter than it was prior to this m/c. Other than that I am just waiting around until next cycle when we TTC again!

QOTD: I have many, many funny stories from childhood (many of them include pictures) that my family like to tell. My parents love to tell this story...my family and I had been on vacation in the mountains. We had been hiking all day and everyone was starving. I was a VERY picky child. We went out for pizza that night and I saw a sliver of an onion on the pizza and refused to eat any of it. I would rather starve than eat an onion. Weirdly, now I love onions!

I'm 4-5 DPO, so just waiting to test.  May test Monday (8-9 DPO) before I call my OB to set up my follow-up appointment where I'll get all the IF testing results.

QOTD:  The story my mom always tells is actually on video tape.  Right after my sister was born, they were filming her just basically sitting there doing nothing.  You can hear me in the backgroud (I was around 4 years old) saying "Mom, watch this" over and over again.  Finally I decided to take the blanket I was using as a cape, wrap it around my sister, and proceed to knock her over.  At least I got on camera, right ?

Hello!

I'm 6DPO after my first post-m/c ovulation, so at least I'm making progress. This should put me O'ing next a little bit before the 3-month wait following MTX is up. I'm guessing that would mean I'll have to TTA for another cycle, which is a bummer, but I'm really happy my body seems to be going back to normal.

QOTD: When I was little, I had a book called The Tomorrow Book. Reading this book led me to ask, When is it going to be tomorrow? (a very reasonable question, I think!) My parents love to tell that story.

Goodmorning Ladies.

I am at 9dpo. I had bloodwork done yesterday that showed my progesterone at 56 which they really liked. They did the beta and I was at 23 which they knew would be over 5 because of the trigger shot on Sunday is still in my system. I go back tomorrow for another progesterone and beta test to see if it went up or down. I am really hoping that this is our cycle because DH and I talked last night and might have to wait a few cycles because of money. RE doctor wanted us to go into IUI right away but the cost is around $700 and we looked at how much the bills for the RE office a month is around 200-250 so in the two cycles we have spent around 500. DH opinion is we might as well just save up for the IUI and try that out if this doesn't work. But I am hoping this is it. Keeping fingers crossed.

Good morning ladies!

I am new to the board and just wanted to introduce myself. We have been trying for baby #1 since August of 2011. BFP - April and a week later I m/c. I have had a great support team and know that all in God's time we'll bring a beautiful, healthy baby home. Currently I am waiting for AF. I have noticed though my cervix continues to stay high. Hoping for AF soon though, so we can have a clearer understanding of my cycle and start back with TTC.

I guess I qualify for a LIW--I'm currently waiting for AF to show (first one post MC), and am also waiting on answers from the GI doc and a colonoscopy (scheduled for 6/6/12) so that we can stop TTA and start TTC again.  I have no patience, and am probably the only person in the world counting down the days till her colonoscopy! LOL!

QOTD:  When I was about 4 years old we were at a family friends' house for a dinner party.  The dessert was a chocolate cake which I apparently loved after tasting a small bite from my mom's.  I proceeded to walk around to every adult and ask them individually for a piece of cake.  Each gave me one (without knowing that I had asked everyone in the room) and I ended up eating probably half of the cake.  LOL!  I was subsequently very sick...which my parents decided was sufficient punishment for my manipulative behavior

Update: I had a TSH and beta level done on Tuesday.  TSH came back normal and my betas were down to 16!  She said as long as I'm not bleeding I don't need to have anymore bloodwork done.  However, I am still currently bleeding some-she wants me to call the office on Monday if I am still bleeding then and we'll draw another again next Tuesday.  Currently, we are still TTA (although with all the bleeding we arent having any BD time so thats not a huge problem), until AF shows up again  We were given the green light to TTC again once AF showed up.  Since I'm still bleeding some from m/c I have a feeling it will be a while still though. 

QOTD:  They have lots they like to tell.  One was about my first Halloween.  My parents didnt realize that between every house we went to, I ate the candy in my basket from the previous house.  It ended badly with an upset stomach and lots of vomiting-ohh and we'd had spaghetti for supper that night   After that, I wasn't allowed to keep my basket until I was much older haha

QOTD: They love to tell about the time in high school when my parents were away and I threw a big party. The cops showed up, but we didn't get in trouble. Everyone worked together to get everything incriminating into big black garbage bags and tossed into the neighbor's pool before the cop made it to the door. My mom told my neighbor about 15 years ago (this happened about 21 years ago).I didn't even know she knew!

Yuck- I would NOT want that pay cut either!

I didn't think I'd be able to give myself a shot either, but I pulled through  I used to about pass out getting shots, blood draws etc but after going through all things IF and preg. loss, I'm an old pro.  Ugh.

Follistim is a follicle stimulating hormone drug.  My RE believes it will produce better quality eggs than just clomid alone.  I will use the FSH injects likely for 7-10 days, depending on my response!

Gah, I hope you  can get some answers from your doctor.  Those short LPs are a definite mind &*%$ when they come out of nowhere. Interested to know how you feel about the acupuncture.

Update: Waiting (praying, hoping, wishing) for a BFP.  I'm 6dpo right now and planning to test on Memorial Day if I can wait that long (I got my first BFP on Labor Day, so maybe summer holidays are good luck?).  Conversely, if I did O on CD14 as I have suspected is possible, AF should arrive today.  

GTKY: When I was about two years old, we were camping with some friends in a little pop-up camper with canvas sides that just kind of velcro into place.  Apparently in the night I rolled off of the bed and out through the side of the canvas.  My mother heard me calling her in the night and found me on the ground outside the camper very calmly saying, "muuuuuuumy....muuuuuuuumy..."  She says I didn't cry, or even act alarmed in any way, but it was v dark and I just didn't know what to do so I called for my mother.  She tells this story all. the. time.

Well, FX for a BFP for you!

That's odd Quigley. Was it just like 1 random day o'bleeding the last time it happened? Are you planning to call your Dr and ask about it?

I hope your cycle gets to something like normal, but they definitely tend to be wonky. Hope this cycle isn't too difficult for you as you wait to start TTC again.

We did do something fun last night. We had a cookout with a couple that we went to college with that experienced a loss between our two losses.  It was great to feel a little less alone.

QOTD: As for a fun story, I'm a twin so there all kind of adventures that comes with that.  My mom always says that we had our own made of language that only we understood.

Glad you're back on the TTC train and that you had an IRL moment of not being so alone in this crappy place we are in.

I'm 4-5 DPO, so just waiting to test.  May test Monday (8-9 DPO) before I call my OB to set up my follow-up appointment where I'll get all the IF testing results.

QOTD:  The story my mom always tells is actually on video tape.  Right after my sister was born, they were filming her just basically sitting there doing nothing.  You can hear me in the backgroud (I was around 4 years old) saying "Mom, watch this" over and over again.  Finally I decided to take the blanket I was using as a cape, wrap it around my sister, and proceed to knock her over.  At least I got on camera, right ?
