If you prefer this sunscreen, make sure ot is in the stick form. The lotion sucks asss because it has a few non-safe chemicals such as Retinyl Palmitate A. These are not safe. There are consumer reportd that prove it. Im on my phone or I'd link it. I used to use this on my daughter believing it was safe, as many people do.

Re: Neutrogena Baby Pure & free
I just saw that report and was using the same stuff. :-(
Is the stick easy to use? It seems like it would be awkward to put on.

This is what we were using. I just did a bunch of research this afternoon and ordered thinkbaby (benefits live strong organization) which was highly rated by egw and got good reviews.
Neutrogena Pure and Free got a really good rating by egw last year so I was surprised it changed (but glad I checked).
I don't like the stick. We tried it last summer and it was kind of a pain.
I'll be switching.
How is it possible to change so much? And FWIW, my bottle is from last year, so maybe its okay. lol

What are y'all using now? It's farking pool & lake time, man!
I tried the Pure and Free baby stick last year and my daughter broke out really bad from it. Pedi said it was pretty common for that brand because of what they use to solidify it.
We used Badger brand and so far it has worked great. We use the regular lightly scented kind, not the baby kind. It is a little greasy, but it doesn't leave her covered in white streaks. I also just got the stick kind but haven't used it yet, it just came in the mail today.
The stick is awesome for faces, it doesnt run or get in eyes, etc. I love it. I wouldn't use it on the whole body though...
I plan to get hte coppertone water babies pure and simple this year for the rest of the body, it has a pretty good rating on EWR and you (i think) can get it in regular stores vs most of the other well rated ones which you have to search for online & in specialty stores.
I checked my bottle from last year and it has the same chemicals they list! How did it change so drastically?
Here is a list of approved sunscreens.

I had to throw out five bottles. Some were kinda old some were brand new. All were for "babies" which infuriates me.
We've been using Thinkbaby too and like it. Need to put it on lightly though, otherwise your LO will be bright white.
This makes me question the EWG methodology since the product hasn't changed. Do we have new information on some of the ingredients that suddenly make them consider it more hazardous?
I'll be honest: We spent tons of money last year on highly rated low hazard sunscreens. I was not impressed. In the end, we have to go with something in the 3-5 range that stays on in the water. Several of the well-rated brands that we used would ball up into disgusting crumbs the second we began to sweat. I'm still bitter about it. I spent a LOT of money on those sunscreens and to be honest, we can't use them.

This sunscreen thing is so confusing. I feel like no matter what I use, someone is going to tell me it has harmful chemicals.
I used Badger last year but it smelled horrible and was greasy.
