movement and u/s today

DH finally got to feel Baby A move today. Baby B is a bit more stubborn.

MFM said the fluid around the babies was fine, but he said that since the fluid was high the last time, that I'm carrying twins, my age (44) and I failed the 1 hour glucose test that I will fail the 3 hour (tomorrow morning). I said then why put myself through the torture of the 3 hour? He said to ask my OB if I could just test with a meter for a week. WWYD?

  • I would ask the ob if you  can test w/ a meter for the week. No need to put yourself through the agony of the 3 hour. Good luck.

That's great news about feeling the baby move - I think for men that's their first real proof that there's going to be a baby :)

I have no advice about the glucose test - I've never done the 3 hour.  But just monitoring seems like a reasonable alternative.
