pumping disaster!

I dropped my pump (the bottle/flange part) and it broke! bad news for an EPer. My other one has a crack. Luckily the replacement part only costs $1.95, but it takes 1-3 days to ship. (our mail isn't delivered on the weekend) Looks like I will have to pump one at a time or use the manual and the electric at the same time. Oy, it is going to be a rough couple of days.

This literally just happened to me. I EBF but pump too (about 4-5) times a day to keep my great supply going.  I broke this stupid piece on the medela adcanced pump i have and had to wait three days to get it.  I had to pump one side at a time and I swear it cut down on the suction and took forever!! Thank God I'm not back to work yet.  Good luck!

  • Could you rent for a few days? Just a thought. I have so much respect for EP'ers after being back to work.

  • Oh no! This is one of the reasons I rented a symphony when I threw in the towel on BFing. I was so afraid something would break. Hang in there!

  • Just FYI Target (and probably Walmart and some other places?) sells replacement medela pump parts in the store if that is the brand you have. I'm sure they are way more expensive than online but it might be worth it!
