Variations of Rose for a first name?

Trying to appease DH who wants to name baby first name ROSE after a long line of family members named Rose.  If it really ends up meaning that much to him, I'll go for it.  but honestly the name Rose just doesnt work well with our last name.  I think its the fact that it has only one syllable, maybe?  Not to mention I'm really not a huge fan of the name Rose to begin with.

Also, need suggestions for MN as well.

TIA!

One beautiful toddler and one beautiful baby.

  • Also, Rosalind or Rosamund. Both are a little more common in Britain than here, but I think they're beautiful and any of the 'Rose' or 'Rosie' nicknames would work for either of them. Unfortunately, DH said no to both so I can't use them!

My DH's aunt is named Rosarie (pronounced Ro-zar-ee).  I think it's a French name, but the aunt was born in Ireland in the 50's.

  • Sorry, not a lot of help but I like just Rose! I don't really like any of the long versions of the name.
