It's been a month and I haven't gained weight. Is this normal at 34 weeks? Two weeks ago I didn't gain any weight from my previous appointment and then today I lost a pound since my last weigh in, which was two weeks ago. I haven't been doing anything differently. I'm assuming that my baby is still growing and I'm sure my doctor would say something if it were an issue, right? He actually started off the appointment saying that my weight and blood pressure are great. I'm just paranoid and want to make sure my baby is still growing.
Re: haven't gained weight in a month
Lucky this is over the internet or I might have to smack you both. Just kidding. I have put on a total of 27 lbs so far and 13 of those have been in the past month!
Yes, LO will take what they need from you, right down the calcium out of your bones. From what I have heard it is not uncommon to stop gaining and even lose a few pounds toward the end of your pregnancy. If your doctor isn't concerned, I wouldn't be. Just make sure you are still getting those pre-natals in each day. Good luck!
Haha! Well the part I didn't mention was I gained 30 lbs as of that 27 week mark. So I was thanking my lucky stars that I hadn't gained anymore so far! LOL
Make a pregnancy ticker
You are forgiven then
. I truly think that each person has a "normal" weight gain for their pregnacies. My Dr doesn't like women to gain more than 35 lbs...ever. But I have a friend who is very active and a very healthy eater who gains 40 lbs each time she is pregnant. All the women I know also have a certain month or two where they gain most of their weight. Mine just happens to be towards the end. Another friend of mine, doesn't tend to gain any weight in her first trimester or the last 8 weeks of her 3rd trimester.
