TTC After a Loss

Am I crazy for thinking this?

I am on CD9 today and had to go get my progesterone tested this morning (was suppose to be yesterday but couldn't get in by the time they closed). I was suppose to do HCG injection today but don't have anymore meds so my last injection was on Sunday. I know that HCG will still be in my system but I was talking to the nurse about my fear of finding out to late that everything worked and I was pregnant only to miscarry again (I have miscarried between 4-7weeks everytime). The RE doctor wants me to go on injections and supplements as soon as I get a BFP but they don't want me testing until 2 weeks from today. So I told the nurse my fears and she put a beta draw along with my progesterone and said on Friday I would do the same to see if my beta went up then its a good indication that I am pregnant.

The nurse who works for my RE doctor just emailed me and asked why I had a beta ran if I did my last shot on Sunday and if I wanted to cancel it since it would come up pregnant obviously. I wrote her back what the other nurse and I discussed and asked her opinion she just reponded with " I guess its possible". What do you girls think? Should I cancel it or do it?

I am not in your situation with the supplements/meds so I am speaking from a totally uneducated standpoint. I would say that anything that keeps you in limbo or could give you a false result should be avoided. But, I get what you're saying about wanting to know about a positive ASAP.

  • OK, wait, are you CD9 or 9dpo and using supporting HCG shots in your LP?

I'd cancel a beta but ask to be put on progesterone supps asap - they can't hurt as long as you're past ovulation.

All of this.  If you just took an HCG injection, your beta will be positive for at least a few days.  Mine stays positive for 6 days.  I'd ask for progesterone supps if you know that you have already ovulated and are in the 2ww.
