Ovulation question

Hey Ladies,

I have a question regarding ovulation.  How long did it take after your m/c before you ovulated?  I m/c'ed in December, and AF started again in February.  Since then, she has been consistently 1 week late (which drives me insane for that extra week).  I have tried temping (I temped the cycle after AF arrived) and my temps were all over the place, I cannot tell you when I may have ovulated.  So after I received AF in March, I decided to use OPKs, I started using them as if my cycle was 28 days (pre-m/c cycle) and then continued on in case AF would arrive in 36 days.  All of my lines were faint when compared to the control line, which brings me to the conclusion that I again did not ovulate.  I have read that you have still have a monthly "period" without ovulating, it is called anovulatory bleeding.

I am curious if it took anyone else a few months before ovulating again.

I'm having the same issue only I didn't temp this month or last month.

No smiley faces this month for me and I have no idea if this is normal or I should call my doctor.

Like the PP said, your cycles can be different after miscarriage, so it isn't always helpful to compare them to your cycles before miscarriage.  The best thing to do is chart so that you can really see what is going on with your body.  If you keep having anovulatory cycles you can check in with your doctor.

After my first 2 m/c my cycles returned to normal with a slight change in the LP (shortened).  After my 3rd m/c, I O'd about 19 days after the bleeding stopped (or 26 days post m/c).  This was confirmed by my RE. 

Your cycles can be pretty wacky for about 6 months after a m/c from what I understand.  The only way to know if you are Oing is by temping and blood work.

I wish i could help you with this question. I mc sometime around 4/13 with D&C on 4/27. I won't start charting til I get my first AF, but based on CM I MAY have ovulated around 5/10. Guess we shall find out soon.

I can't wait to start charting. Before deciding to TTC, I was on Mirena for 5 years with no AF at all. Had one cycle before BFP (followed by loss), so I really have no idea what to expect my body to do!

[I do not know exactly when I Oed after my m/c because I didn't start charting until two cycles after.

That said, I have something that I think you need to understand. There is absolutely no point in comparing your pre m/c cycles to your current ones. AF is not appearing 'one week late' every month. Your cycles have changed. The only way to know for sure is to chart. Opk's, temps, and cm are your best bet. Only then will you truly know if AF is 'late' or just delayed because you Oed later in your cycle.

I do not use FF, I was using up my paper charts from the natural family planning class H and I had to take before our wedding.  I had stopped temping for a month since my temps were all over, and H was not real thrilled with the thermometer beeping and waking him up (especially if he didn't fall asleep until 2 am or later and I am temping at 7 am).  He is starting a new schedule with set hours and will be gone by 7 am, so I will try temping again.  I have been checking for cm with both temping and OPKs, but have not been noticing much cm.
