Progesterone testing

I am supposed to go 7 days after ovulation for my progesterone level. I called today and the office is closed today for a family medical situation (of course!). She (the office manager) told me to come tomorrow to get it done.

Does this matter if I'm 8 or even 9 days past ovulation?

My doctor suspects mine might be low, but they are not having me come in until I get a BFP. I have been wondering about the timing of progesterone testing. I kinda feel that waiting that long would kinda be too little too late, but IDK. Do they normally test that right at 7 DPO?? I am interested in seeing what everyone else has to say.....

I was suppose to go yesterday for progesterone testing but couldn't get in. My RE Nurse told me to just come in this morning and then I am suppose to go back on Friday so make sure they are rising. Do you have another date to go in after your first draw? If not I would ask to have one so they can see whether or not your rising.

Mine is just through my OB. When I had my annual appointment I had told him that I didn't have a big temperature shift in my first cycle charting. He told me to come in the next time I was on day 22 or 23 (he said this because I have 28 day cycles like clock work, and since the temping wasn't confirming ovulation I didn't know when 7 days  post ovulation would be). I went in and my progesterone was like 2 something. Somehow though I ovulated and ended up getting a positive pregnancy test on day 26... only 4 days after I was tested. That ended in a m/c so he wants me to get it tested again to make sure that I have a strong ovulation. I do have a decent temperature shift this time, so I'm hoping for better results. But today was day 22, and tomorrow will put me at 8 or 9 days after ovulation. The nurse said as long as my temperature was still up I "should" be fine. I guess we'll see.

Generally you've got a day or two window on either side of whatever CD testing it is to actually get it done.

Ex: my "CD3" bloodwork was done on cd2, my 7dpo b/w was done on either 7dpo or 8dpo (I can't remember) bc of scheduling issues. It shouldn't be *too* big an issue.
