It's Mishu! I came back to ask about tantrums but I skimmed the board and saw that it's pretty prevalent here!! haha Good to know that everyone is in my boat
DD has been pretty good, except when we go out, she wants nothing to do with us, and if we try to contain/ restrain her, she screams, gets down on the floor, etc... I am all for exploring but sometimes we can't let her run around, so we have just been trying to avoid going out these past few weeks lol.
Re: Hi Everyone!!
Hey MarSam, how is everything? How is your toddler? haha I hope I don't get too sucked into TB this time around, although things at work has been slow since umm last Summer!
Whitney is doing AMAZING!!!!!! Every day is something new, it is so beyond wonderful. Come back to the bump, I think most of the regulars have given up because there were so many lurkers, and no one posting. We would LOVE to have new faces!!
How is your LO doing? What is she up to?
DD is doing great, just lots of tantrums outside of the house
She keeps us on our feet when we go out. At home, it's wonderful because she plays nicely, and communicates very well, so we both enjoy this. It's so bitter sweet though, bc she's growing up and becoming a little person
She started daycare about a month ago and she loves it, so that worked out well. She is also eating a TON (read: everything)!! lol But she's still 19 lbs
Thanks Rosie B!
Congratulations on baby #2. I hope to have another DD within the next few years
Everything is good with DD. She is in daycare now and loving it, she even hates when I come to pick her up...this is my once very clingy DD.
I hate my job (not job but annoying team members) more and more everyday
but DH is still in grad school so I can't just peace out of here. Long story short, my old Supervisor (younger guy) who hired me left and went to work for our HQ in Switzerland.... Then I was stuck here with all these older people, with an older mentality, and are completely in the dinosaur age. They have a specific way of doing things without technology from the 70s when they were newbies. Soo it's been weird, but I am still friends with my old Sup and we keep in contact so that's nice. His advice was to stay here until hubby graduates and then quit. He was new when he hired me and only discovered that people in the group were weird after I was hired... so once his sign on bonus expired, he applied to leave. DH probably won't graduate until another 2 years (his coworker killed herself this weekend and now he has to figure out a bunch of stuff that they worked on together for the past few years:().
But other than my work, everything else is great. Looking forward to the Summer and trying to enjoy the last few months of DD being a baby...it's going by too quickly.
How about you?
Oh my gosh, that's a lot to deal with. Are you at least looking around to see what else is out there? I'm not sure I could stick out a job I hate for *that* long.
Not too much exciting going on here. I SAH with DD. DH is training hard and pretty much only home on the weekends. He'll get a month off during June/July and then it's back to the grindstone right up until they deploy next year. I'm excited I'll have another LO to keep me busy while he's gone, but I'm also secretly freaking out. WTF was I thinking?! lol
Mishu - WTF!! Where have you been????
Thank you so much for the last gift you sent (I didn't have your darn address after I got rid of the box). You spent way over the limit BTW
JT is doing the same freaking thing with not wanting to hold my hand when we are out, back tracking constantly when we are walking in one direction...he'll then go back to the starting point. Ugh. And pitching a fit when I try to redirect him, hold his hand, or restrain him. And what's worse is he is always falling so these tantrums make him even more clumsy! Sheesh...the joys, the joys.
Mishu! Welcome back. You have been missed.
We have serious tantrum issues here..oy! I feel like all I do is redirect!
It's a very toxic environment to be in but no where's really hiring and I feel bad switching knowing that we will end up in Atlanta or Boston in 2014, so I'd have to quit that place after a year. They pay very well here, so if I downgraded my job (thought about working at Target/ Bed Bath lol), we probably couldn't even be able to afford our rent ALONE.... much less daycare (the two alone add up to $4000), then there is car + health insurance, food, diapers, ugh the list goes on. Anyway, I could go on and on about dramaz lol
I'd love to have 2 girls close in age, it's hard in the beginning but so worth it. My older sister is 13 months older than me, and we live 3 blocks away from each other now! haha I told DH when he graduates, we are having Irish twins...but I didn't get AF until 9 mos PP so I don't know if it's possible lol. It's nice that your DH will get some time off, I go crazy when DH is not home to help with DD. I am sure it's hard on them too being away and working so hard. And don't worry about freaking out, there are more advantages to have kids closer in age than further apart, at least IMO!!
OMG Congratulations on your pregnancy! Everyone over here is pregnant, that's exciting!
You are totally welcomed! I don't remember what I got or paid haha.
I always tell DD to go in the opposite direction that we want her to go and then she goes in our direction...works like a charm. I told DH she doesn't want to hang out with us bc we are old and boring. I can only imagine being pregnant with this behavior
I hope it's a phase, but I don't know.
Thanks! Our LOs are not even 18 months... I can't wait to see what the terrible twos bring us! haha
Thanks! Congratulations on your third pregnancy. I used to think you were amazing with 2u2 but now even more with 3 kids so close together!
