11wks pp and still sore??

Hi ladies! I was very advanced with my workout prior to becoming pregnant and just this week really start to train hard again. I've been dabbling back in the gym for a few weeks but yesterday I ran intervals on the treadmill nothing crazy AT ALL just 6.0 for 1 min followed by 1 min at 3.0 did 8 intervals. Shortly after I came home I felt SO tender down there like where my uterus is. It feels just like the week or two after having my lil. I ended up taking 800mg ibuprophen and it feels much better this morning. Is it normal to STILL be sore this far out pp? Anyone else experience this?

  • Did you have severe tearing? I started back exercising at 10 weeks PP and didn't experience any soreness. I also had a second degree tear from delivery.

    I'm sure that you're fine and that your muscles are just getting retoned. GL!

  • I had a third degree tear and started intervals at 7 weeks.  I am doing the couch to 5k thing, so I think it was run 1 min, walk 1.5 min for 20 min.  This week was run 1.5 min, walk 2 min for 20 min.  So far no trouble with soreness.  I'm sorry you are still hurting.  Did your OB say you were all healed up at your appt?
