Rec your kiddie pool

Do you have one of those hard plastic ones or a smaller inflatable one? One with a sun shade of some sort? We're getting one for Em for her birthday but there are pros and cons to each kind and I'm not sure which to go with yet. What do you have or plan to get?

    Happy Birthday Emma!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I just got a cheap $10 blow-up one a Target, but I haven't blown it up yet.

  • My sister has one of those collapsable things like the collapsable tents/tunnels.  It has a sun shade and is easy to store.  She loves it, but it is a little pricey.  I like that it is portable.  I will most likely get this for DS.  It can be a ball pit, too.

I bought a super cheap on from BRU to bring on vacation with us and use at the beach. It worked perfectly and was super small so it was easy to blow up and pack. Although it wasn't very deep, which was good for a 6 month old. I guess at this point you'd probably want a deeper one that you can put more water in.

I would probably get a hard one if you'll just keep it at your house. But if you'll bring it places with you, like to a beach, etc...I'd get a blow up one.

  • we're planning to get one of each. I got a hard plastic one for $6 at BRU to try out the firs time. She seemed to like it a lot, and I figure for $6, even if we toss it at the end of summer it was worth it. I'm planning to get another one that is a blowup or popup that we can store and keep, maybe something with a slide?

  • My ILs are getting this one for Max's birthday: https://www.step2.com/p/Play-Shade-Pool. We can't get him to keep a hat on, so I love the umbrella and with a bunch of pine needles/rough twigs in our yard, an inflatable pool seemed unwise.
