A Few Weaning and PPAF Qs

I apologize bc I'm sure these have been asked a bazillion times over but here goes...I have been completely done BFing since Friday (no pumping for a few weeks) and was wondering how long does milk take to dry up? I've cut out sessions gradually over the last month and a half, so we were down to just one last week, if that info helps.  Also, when do you typically get your first PPAF after weaning?  (I've been getting crampy for a while now, and today they were getting worse and would just like to get it over with already and quit getting random PMS symptoms lol!)  Thanks!

Re: A Few Weaning and PPAF Qs

  • I'd say it probably took about three weeks to be completely gone but I didn't have to wear breast pads or anything after the first week. I stopped BF Dec 16th and got my first PPAF on Jan 6th so almost a month after. It can really vary though.

  • It's been awhile since I weaned, but I think it took a couple weeks for the milk to dry up.  I weaned gradually as well.

I got my first PPAF about a month after I was completely done BFing.  (And then got pregnant a month after that.)  Smile
