So after a hard mothers day where I was so mopey I wouldn't go to church to see baby dedications I decided Monday would be a new day. I got a call early am from my best friend down home who said she had gotten wind of a set of twins just born that needed an adptive family and would we be willing to take them. I was adopted and my dh and I would love to adopt so of course I said yes! She said she would call the person she knew that was looking for a home for them and get back to me. All day I spent in prayer that God would give us these precious babies. I get a call at 7 last night saying they were already placed. Then I get on fb and see two more bfps and two friends about to give birth. I'm officially hiding in my house for the rest of the week. Sorry about the rant but I really just needed to get that out.

I'm sorry about your crappy day.  And for the record, I think people need to stop offering babies like they were an offer of a donut.  I am sure it was well intentioned, but it just gets your hopes up and then the let down is traumatic.  You are not the first person on this board who got a call "offering" babies who was let down.  Big hugs.

I'm so sorry that happened to you.  It's like fate was being the solar system's biggest b!tch & dangling the adoption in your face.

((hugs)) I would go ahead and hide those friends from your Facebook feed.  I'm really sorry that things didn't work out with the adoption.  I know it's hard, but just try to remember that God does have a plan for you and your DH, its just a different plan than you thought. (I'm not trying to be insensitive, I totally get where you are coming from, but remembering that tends to help me.) You will get through this - stay strong hon.

 

I keep telling myself that and praying that God will give me peace and know His plan is perfect. thank everyone so much for the support. It really helps that I have this board to go to.

I'm so sorry, that is a very difficult couple of days.  Are you and your H currently pursuing adoption through an agency?

 

I have done some looking into adoption agencies and I got really overwhelmed so we decided to just TTC for now and put adoption on the back burner for now unless something like yesterday popped up.
