TTC after 35

Update..almost there

I went in this morning for yet another u/s and b/w. Depending on bloodwork, the doc this morning said I would most likely go back in tomorrow morning for one more scan and then they would trigger me tomorrow night with ER on Friday. I know these things can't be rushed but I'm so impatient!!  My follicles are still growing, This morning the one on the left was at 15 and the three on the right were at 15, 16 and 17.  My Estrogen jumped yesterday from 400 on Sunday to 560. I guess a good thing is that there isn't one that has jumped out into the lead forcing us to rush anything.

I expressed concern this morning about ovulating before then but the doc said the lupron flare will stop me from ovulating until they want me to. I probably should have realized that but I'm glad I asked.

I do have plans to go back for another acupuncture treatment tonight, for a final boost for growth.

I'm very excited!

On an extremely selfish note, I'm so glad Friday is the potential timing because we have a volunteer day at work that day, and I really don't want to participate. I have no problem being a volunteer, but in the past after a day of painting, digging, planting, etc., I have pretty much been sore and out of commission for days, and I really don't think that is the best idea when I have to get ready for an ET. Ok, yes, I am the worst person in the world. I promise I will teach my child to be better :)

TTC since 3/2010. Me 41, DH-49. After 3 years, 6 IUIs and several IVFs we have finally have our beautiful baby girl, born on 11/7/13.

I agree, no one needs to be perfect, you can volunteer some other time, don't be hard on yourself.

    Thanks all!

And thank you Daniele for helping me justify my laziness and apathy. Much appreciated :)

How exciting...good luck!! And don't worry about being selfish, since so much of what we deal with is beyond our control, we should all be allowed to have our way now and then ;)

Good Luck. And you are totally entitled to do something for yourself every now and again and not feel guilty about it! No worries about missing the volunteer day. There will be others.

  • That's great news!  GL Friday.  Smile

  • Yay!  So great that all your follicles are measuring so close together, hopefully that means a really good ER on Friday!

  • Thanks as always for the support!

I spoke to the nurse earlier and she said I'll just be in there every morning now for monitoring and that it's possible that they won't trigger me until tomorrow for a Saturday retrieval.  My Estrogen is up to 797 today. Of course I want things to be ideal but OMG I don't want to wait until Saturday!

Even if it's not until Saturday, I'm still not doing the volunteer day :)
