What do you recommend for potty learning? 3 day method seems to not work with DD and would like a trainer of some sort but not sure with what to go with.

We've suffered through the 3 day fail too. We had great success with it as long as he was naked 24/7 - the minute ANYTHING was on his butt, he would pee right through it, didn't matter if it was running down his legs!
There are a lot of great training pants out there, but I haven't found any that are more than just accident catchers. The closest I've found are the blueberry trainers - they can hold one full pee, but leave it too long or give one too many juice boxes - you have a mess.
The best thing I've found are Swaddlebees AIOs - they are sized, the side snaps are on stretchy tabs so they are easy to pull up and down, and the interior is cotton, so there is a wet feel to them. The entire insert is cotton, with a sleeve style pocket - the insert folds out in the wash, and you can increase absorbancy by stuffing an insert in the sleeve. It is just shy of a prefold, absorbancy-wise.
We purchased flip trainers for the beginning, but dd used them just like dipes after a while, so we made the jump to underwear. We still have accidents and she consistently poops in them, but it's better than constant urine.
