Bed Rail Recs and nightweaning ?...

Sorry I know this gets asked alot, but I really, really want DH to come back to bed with me and DS2 (he's currently co-sleeping with DS1 in DS1's bed), and I want room for DS1 to come in the middle of the night like he used to before DS2 arrived.

If your toddler is nightweaned, do they still sometimes ask to nurse if they wake up? Do you nurse them if that happens? I've "given in" a few times, and I'm not really sure how to handle the situation. I will usually let DH try to get him back to sleep for a few minutes and if that doesn't work I'll go in there and try to comfort him w/o nursing.. which never works, so I nurse him!  Will letting him sleep with me (us altogether) make it happen more often...DS1 asking to nurse at night?

What bed rails are good for a thick mattress (14"?) and platform bed (no box springs)?

DD will sometimes ask to nurse if she wakes up.  I just tell her "nursey all done" and that it isn't "morning time" yet and she'll get mad but go back to sleep usually.  We do currently bedshare (all 3 of us) and she will STTN in our room if she can snuggle with us, but hasn't slept well out of our bed yet.

And...no recommendations on bedrails.  Sorry!
