My preemie turned two last week - they really do catch up

I posted last week about him turning 2, but we just had pediatrician appt and he is 34 inches (25-50%) and 25 lb.10-15%.  I could not stop crying on his birthday thinking about how he came into world.  He was born at 29 w at 3 lb and 16.5 in.  It is amazing how they grow.

Thanks for sharing. My 35 weeker was 3 lb 4.5 oz and 17 3/4 inches. Your son gives me hope. We aren't even at 1% for weight or height. 

 

I rarely ever post, but your LO's 35 week stats were exactly like ours. I was put in the hospital and placed on mag for pre-e.  DD was born at exactly 35 weeks and we spend 16 days in the NICU.  She is now almost 2 and you would never guess that she was a preemie.  It's crazy how fast they catch up!!

Thanks for sharing this! My DD was also born at 29w and she was 2lbs 11oz and it feels like she's never going to catch up in size. She's just now barely 16lbs and she just seems to small! I'm glad to hear your little guy is doing so well! I bet those 2 years just flew by!
