Clomid users?

I'm on my first Clomid cycle and I'll be taking it CD3-7. Today is CD4 so I took it last night. I'm just curious about side effects...are the mood swings that common? My RE did look at DH and joke, "Whatever happens on Clomid, stays on Clomid!". And coming from my RE I thought that was hilarious...I didn't know the man could joke! 

I also already am feeling this heaviness/fullness near my ovaries, mostly on the right side (which kind of bums me out because I really need to O from the left side!!!). Anyone else feel like that...it feels like I typically feel on the days leading up to O so I'm hoping its just a sign that the Clomid is working!

Mood swings are like the most normal of symptoms. My DH jokes and says 0 to b*tch in 2.5 seconds when he talks about my use of Clomid. I would bawl my eyes out and then be the incredible hulk with the snap of my fingers.

LOL, oh no! That doesn't sound fun! I wonder if I should warn co-workers too!

I wouldn't say I had mood swings on Clomid, but was definitely more irritable.  And, it gave me dull headaches.   

I did have some fullness in my ovaries and typically on both sides - and only one would have dominant follies, so I wouldn't feel bummed yet about which side is feeling more full.  It will really be determined at your first monitoring appointment. 

GL with the Clomid!  I really didn't find it to be that bad in the grand scheme of things.

I just finished my 3rd cycle.  I get the mood swings, and I also have hot flashes at night. I'll wake up drenched in sweat. My 1st cycle wasn't THAT bad as far as side effects.  I found that the symptoms got worse each month.  Every month, DH and i joke that it's "countdown to crazy".  In reality though, since i've started taking it, i've felt depressed and irritable all month, not just days 3-7.  Good luck, hopefully it won't be too bad for you.

I only experienced the side effects until the day after I took my last pill (took them at night).  So, once it was out of my system, I felt back to normal.  I hope you have a similar experience!!

I am on CD 23 of my first clomid cycle. I haven't had any major side effects. Some mood swings, dull headaches and Hot flashes. By far the worst effect was during o time, I felt like my insides were being pulled out. That quickly subsided once I o'd.

This is my 6th round, 3rd TTCAL.  I get hot flashes around cd5 to right before O.  I didn't have issues my first 3 cycles, but since the m/c they have been bad.  I do get a little more moody and irritable.  Things will set me off more easily.  I also get dull headaches.  Closer to cd9 my ovaries start to feel full and I have ovulation pain starting about 2 days before my +LH surge.  Pain subsides about a day after O.  Some cycles I've had a decreased CM, although that is definitely not the case this cycle. (Sorry TMI!) It did also cause a yeast infection one month, my RE says it is fairly common.  Mine hit cd8 and was cleared up in time to not interfere with the cycle.  I used OTC Monistat.

Take them at night.  My RE said some people experience nausea with it, so that way you can sleep through it. Good luck!

I didn't experience any side effects on the 50 dose. I did have what I thought was hot flashes at one point, but I can't say it was due to the Clomid; I may have just been overheated. I took them at night before going to bed. Good luck!

Clomid (50mg cd5-9) had a progressive effect on me. Cycle 1, I just had some hot flashes and found myself to be slightly irritable, but nothing too dramatic. Cycle 2, hot flashes got a little better, but found myself getting more irritable and snapping for no reason. Cycle 3, no hot flashes, emotionally a one woman show. My mood swings were awful and I was so angry all the time.

Oh yeah the night sweats! I also had headaches and the dizziness. I did feel depressed but wasn't sure if that was from the Clomid. Don't be scared everyone is different.

I had bad mood swings the first cycle on clomid, then after that I was just emotional.  All cycle long.  Like ugly cry several times for no good reasons.  I want to say I even experienced a little paranoia.  

Physically, I did experience fullness near my ovaries and near O time, a lot of pressure and some pain with certain positions.  My first cycle I also experienced hot flashes that woke me up from a dead sleep.

My first clomid cycle was the worst (so far). That cycle I was irritable, I had hot flashes for almost three full weeks, and I broke out like I was twelve again. 

Last round wasn't too horrible, but it might have just been because I was expecting the worst. I still had hot flashes and night sweats, but they seemed to be milder and spaced out a little bit more. The irritability wasn't nearly as bad, and I while I still broke out, it wasn't nearly the acne disaster I had the first cycle.

 I'm just starting my third cycle, but we increased my dosage to 100mg and I'm feeling nervous about it.

I didn't have many s/e the first time around... by the 4th I was having major hot flashes.  The heaviest my ovaries felt were on my first round of clomid, but I had 3-4 follies each time.  They also weren't always on the side that felt more active either.  GL!
