Welcome to the budget check-in! This check-in is for those of us who are trying to work on our budgets and do better with our money. No matter what point you are at with budgeting, you are welcome to join in!

Spend as little money as possible.

What have you done to work towards your goal?  Are you on track with meeting your goal?

We've been watching what we spend and trying not to spend a lot. We used saved up points to buy some yard supplies we needed and I've been doing really good with my grocery budget.

Did you have any setbacks this week?

We spent a little more than we should have at Home Depot getting our garden ready but hopefully it will be worth it when all the veggies grow and we save money there. 

What is your tightwad tip of the week?

Grow your own veggies! If you have space for a garden of course.

I don't really have anything to update.  We've been trying not to spend too much but haven't done anything concrete to accomplish that. 

I guess my tightwad tip would be to make your own cards.  Not that I do that; I spent $25 at Walmart buying Mother's Day cards.   But it would be a good way for someone to save money!

I love your tightwad tip and especially that you don't do it. I keep thinking I should start since I spend so much money on cards but I'm not creative enough.
