Re: ~*~*April Mommas Check In*~*~

  • Sorry ladies that I don't put fun little pictures in the subject bar to get your attention- I am very techo inep!

Well, I finally had a non-medicate flow! This was last week so I was very excited and thankful.  I guess my body was ready to let go and finally be ready to try for another baby (we were never TTA but knew that b/c I wasn't having periods without provera or prometrium, it was unlikely that we would get pg).  Ironically, it took 9 months for my get a period on it's own.  We shall see what happens.

The summer school session started last Wednesday and I am so overwhelmed already with the idea of starting my counseling practicum.  It is so insane that after what seems like a MILLION years, I am at this point in my education.  Strange.

I hope all you ladies are doing well so far today!

raashton- That is great AF finally came!  I bet you were very relieved and excited!  That's crazy it took 9 months to get your own period.  It's strange how things work like that.

As for me the 2ww is torture.  I test on Friday and the wait is killing me.  I haven't had any real symptoms yet but I am hopefull that maybe this is the cycle.  Other than that not much new here.  For Mothers Day yesterday my parents came over and we had a bbq.  It was nice spending the day with my mom but also a little bittersweet as it would have been my first Mother's day.

I hope you all have a great week!  (((HUGS)))

Friday is not very far away!  You can do this wait! If this is your cycle, I will happily stalk you on PgAL and if not, we will flood you with pictures of alcohol.

I totally understand about Mother's Day being bittersweet.  It was the same for me as well!

Woo Hoo for periods!!  YAY, that's great news! Sending good baby vibes!

I need to get back to school, I took a semester off... and now its been 3 haha!

The party turned out great!  Not too many people, and just the perfect amount of kids. It was a jungle theme, and we had a face painter.... but he wanted spider man.... UGH I despise spider man hahah! ohh well!

We ate cupcakes for breakfast today since today is actually his birthday!

His party, his face art right? That's hilarious!

I took an entire year off between undergrad and grad.  I think it was easier to go back b/c 1) I knew I had to in order to get my dream job and 2) I had to apply to go back so I knew there was a deadline of sorts.  If I hadn't had those, I seriously don't know what I would be doing!

  • Atleighdan: Has that baby shower finally passed? How did it go?

Yes, I finally had the baby shower this weekend. I survived pretty well. I made it through the whole party and even enjoyed myself a little. Then I let myself have a little pity party in the car on the way home. But not too long, because I had to rush to the grocery store and then home to get ready because we were leaving for Cedar Point (an amusement park) for the rest of the weekend. I spent my Mother's Day at Cedar Point and it was a great way to spend the day. You don't see many big pregnant bellies or babies while riding roller coasters!

    Hello my beautiful April Mamas!

Last week was so-so overall. I found out on Friday my current position is being eliminated come June 30th so that was a bummer. But then I started to look at the positive and realized it was a good thing. I can find something I'm passionate about and focus on that. So overall, I'm happy with that.

Ethan's godmother suddenly got married on Saturday and didn't tell us. We found out on Facebook (in her defense, she didn't tell a lot of people and I don't think any of his family went) but it would've been nice if she clued us in. They got married not too far from where we live so it would've been nice to have an option to go. I will talk to her about it sometime this week.

Yesterday was tough at times and I finally just had a good cry. And then I snapped out of it and focused on writing. Sometimes I'm amazed at how despite all the trials and tribulations, I still soldier on. I need a cape and a lasso.

I am glad that the shower has passed and that you were able to even enjoy it!  Kudos to you!

Smart idea- going to an amusement park on Mother's Day!!

Sorry to hear about your job but I am happy that you are able to find the positive!  To me, you've been such an inspiration in being able to find that silver lining!

That sucks that you didn't get to celebrate with your friend.  Something very similar happened to me a few years ago and I was devasted.  It took a while to get over the hurt (not to mention, I had already bought the bridesmaid dress she insisted I buy for her wedding that got cancelled when they eloped).   I hope you are at least able to go out to dinner to celebrate with them at some point.

  • Raashton-I bet you are SO relieved to finally see AF!  Hopefully you will get a BFP next cycle and won't have to worry about seeing her again for awhile!

Running is going good.  I'm trying to keep up the running without pushing too hard and getting injured (like last time).  So far so good!

Not much to update around here.  Got AF last week so I guess I'm gearing up to O-hopefully soon!

    BFP #1:  8/10/11 EDD: 4/9/12 Natural miscarriage @ 7 weeks: 8/20/11
    BFP #2: 8/31/12 EDD: 5/18/13 Chemical pregnancy: 9/4/12
