PT Work at Home: Project Management

Does anyone work PT from home?  My brother is an IT consultant and has said project management pays well and would be a good job where I could make my own hours.  Does anyone do anything like this?  Have any advise?  I currently work FT and am scared to make the leap to staying at home, but if I had a part time job lined up I would feel better about it.
