Ikea Hemnes white - solid wood?

There is always a lot of talk about this dresser.  The description of the white dresser - both 8 and 3 drawer - does not say "solid wood" or "pine."  Is the white a cheaper quality than the other colors?

I think it uses more particle board because the drawer fronts are not stained, it is a laminate.  We went to the store with the intention to buy one of the stained dressers but the floor model of the stained one scratched too easy for my taste so we went with white.  The white one has a very strong finish.  I tried really hard to damage it and could not.  Whatever the materials, the dresser is very sturdy and heavy.  We just rearranged the nursery yesterday and had to take the drawers out to move it and we don't have heavy things inside.

NOT solid wood - but the laminate finish on it is SO much better than the wooden furniture we have in our master bedroom.  I am jealous of my own daughter's dresser!  That white dresser will last 18 years at least...and if we don't move or move it around much, I think it could last longer.
