Too early to be EXHAUSTED?

We went to a local festival today so I did a good amount of walking but nothing too serious, and only for and hour and half or so. I noticed I couldn't keep up with DH and walk as fast as normal. We only stayed for two hours total then went to T.arg.et for some items. By the time I got home (around 3:30 or so) I was so tired I collapsed on the bed. I know I slept 8 hours last night but this wave of exhaustion came over me. I took a 2 1/2 hour nap but I remember waking up midway through and felt so completely wiped out I knew I couldn't get up yet.

I am feeling a bit better now but I know I could probably go to sleep in a few hours. Is this normal? Did any of you experience this in 1st tri? DH kept saying that this should be happening much later in the game, jokingly of course, but it got me wondering.

I've been completely exhausted since about 5-6 weeks.  It's finally started to get better in the last week or so.  I think it's just our bodies getting used to the surge in progesterone and other hormones.

I'm nine weeks and completely exhausted all the time.  My DH has given me a new super hero name...he calls me The Sleepore...able to sleep anytime and anyplace.  Okay, not as funny in written form but when he does the super hero voice it makes me giggle.

Nope, totally normal.  1st tri is really hard on the body, I was exhausted and useless the whole first tri.  2nd tri was MUCH better.  I just started 3rd tri, but am ready for the exhaustion to come back any day now.  Enjoy the naps, you deserve them.

Totally normal!  I had to take a nap everyday if I could during first tri and still be able to sleep 10 hours at night.  I would start going to bed earlier that usual to so I could get extra sleep.  I am finally getting less exhausted where I am not napping as much or as long the past two weeks or so.  I'm sure it will come back eventually but for now I am enjoying the energy.  Don't worry about it and rest as much as you feel you need to.  Its hard work making a baby.

I have been exhausted since 7dp3dt.  That was the first symptom I got and it never went away.  Things I have read say that the you get a boost of energy in the 2nd Tri, but that never happened for me.  Unfortunately, I think exhaustion is pretty normal.

This was how I figured out that I was pregnant. Missing periods was nothing but I knew that when I fell asleep eating a taco that something was amiss. It has gotten slightly better in the second tri but I can already feel it slowly creeping its way back in...

I remember working 12 hour shifts, which had never been a problem, thinking how the H am I going to make it past 3 without any caffeine. I had never been so tired in my life. A friend did a drop by without call this one of the days I had off and she swears she saw a ghost. It was 3 in the afternoon, I haden't showered, I hadn't brushed my hair, I was still in pj's from my 2nd nap of the day. It was AWFUL! I don't think I did much else then work and sleep first tri. Don't beat yourself up and tell dh you make babies what's his super power?

The first few weeks I was the most exhausted.  I would get home from work and just lay on the couch for hours.  It did get better for me from like 10 weeks until now, but lately I haven't been sleeping well, so I am exhausted all day.  I think it is supposed to get better in the second tri so I am looking forward to that!

I have also been this way since ~5 weeks. I can never get enough sleep and when I am awake I am still exhausted. I hear 2nd and 3rd tri are much better. Our babies are the perfect little opportunist. They take everything they need from you and it leaves you with nothing. If me being exhausted and sick makes my little muppet feel better, bring it on!

So I read this post yesterday and thought, "not really me". Then I proceeded to fall asleep on the couch last night at 8pm, while watching our DVR of the season finale of CSI, dragged myself off the couch and collapse back into bed. When the alarm when off at 8, I begged DH to walk the dog so I could sleep 30 more min. When I got home from church and brunch with my family, I took a nap on the couch. I am still on the couch, though I have managed to finish watching CSI. I'm contemplating another nap.
