Anyone else have completely different tastes in boy names than your H? We had this problem when we found out we were having a boy my 1st pregnancy and yesterday we found out we're having another boy. So here we are again! His list contains made-up sounding names just because he wants a unique name (i.e. Jarek, Marik, Albin, and basically anything that ends in "ek") whereas mine are a little more mainstream (i.e. Oran, Emmett, Cade, Corbett, Everett, Ewan, Jarrett.) I'm trying to stress to him the sibset consideration so I think that might help him bend a little. I also want to use Weston as a MN after my grandfather since DS#1's MN is after DH's grandfather, so we need something that goes well with that. Anyone have any suggestions for a somewhat unique name that's not entirely out there? Sorry about formatting, I'm on my phone... thanks!
Logan Jack- 6.1.10 and Emmett Weston- 9.29.12
Re: At odds with DH on boy names
DH and I have very different taste. He likes more classic yet not popular names, like Warren or Gideon. I tend to like more trendy names I guess, like Jude and Liam. It took us forever to finally agree on DS's name Quinton Dashiell.
Here are some of the names off of our really long boys list though. Beau, Rhys, Judah, Jonah, Lachlan, Jett, Grady, Declan, Zane, Crosby, Quaid, Nash, Lennon, Landry, Beckett, Abram, Blake, Sylar, Gage, Graham, Grey, Corbin, Reid

well, he likes Jarek, you like Jarrett -- they're pretty close, maybe Jarrett Weston?
I can't say I've ever met or heard of a Jarrett (Garrett, yes, but never with the J sound, but perhaps I'm just assuming you'd use more of a J sound and not a g sound -- either way, I still only know 2 Garretts and they're 3 & 10 now).
one of my guilty pleasure names is Maverick - I used to take care of a kid with that name, he was called both Mav & Rick (mostly Rick by his school teachers, friends called him Mav)
Another vote for Jarrett (nn Jett) -- it's certainly not mainstream in terms of popularity, but not a made-up name either. It seems like a good compromise (and it's what I wanted to use for DS2's mn). Jarek's really bad.
Cormac.
You like Corbett, he likes the -ek ending, and Cormac Weston flows really well!
