Already felt like I was there all week, but I went in for beta#3 today. It's up from 225 to 530 after 4 days - doubling time has slowed from 64 to 77 hours.
Yet, they want me to go in again Monday, since "it's still going up."
I was hoping the torture would end one way or the other today. This week of waiting has been pure hell. Here's to another 2 days of agony.
Anyone who has been on this particular roller coaster in the IF theme park, any thoughts, experiences? I know it can mean impending miscarriage, but I can't wrap my head around that. This may sound completely ignorant, but how does it end? Will I just eventually bleed and then move on?
I know I should stay positive and just hope that isn't the case, but right now I don't know how much more dream crushing I can take.

Its still in the range of being viable no reason not to stay positive. I do know someone that had worse #s than you and she is due in June.
ETA: i just want to give you an idea of her #s... 1st beta, 248 - 6 days later 650 (86hr doubling time)... 2 days later 950 (87hr doubling time) - 4 days later it was 3000
I am so sorry that you are in beta limbo and I hope you get better news on Monday.
Unfortunately, both of my successful IUIs had slow rising betas and didn't end well. I didn't miscarry naturally because of the progesterone I was on and had a d&c both times.

I am so sorry you are going through this. My beta hell ended right after beta #3, but my numbers weren't doubling at all. FX and good luck to you, hoping that all is well. As far as your questions about how it will end (hopefully for you, not for nine more months) I think it depends on how far you go, and what the problem is. In my case, it had only been a week and I started bleeding once I stopped taking the progesterone. In other cases I've heard of women having to be given injections to start the bleeding (in cases of ectopic) or having D&C procedures.
I know it's easier said than done, because this is a crazy stressful time, but it sounds like you're already thinking positive thoughts. Beta hell sucks.

I had something similar happen with my last pregnancy. The first 3 beta's were normal (although the third was slowing) and the 4th was much slower (like 120 hours to double) and they had me come in for an early ultrasound at 6w-which unfortunately showed nothing in my uterus and we presumed it eptopic. That day though, my beta doubled overnight, but it still wasn't a successful pregancy.
Beta hell is the worst-you try to be hopeful but realistic at the same time and its so hard. The only thing I can say that is good about waiting and running another beta is that at least if things don't work out you know you gave it a chance, and you don't ever have to wonder what if you would have given it more time.
As far as how it ends that depends what is going on-with mine, they had to give me methotrexate to end the pregnancy, since they thought it might be eptopic. A few days after the shot I started bleeding like a period.
The good news is that it is still going up and 77 hours isn't that far off from the normal 48-72. Hang in there! I hope that in a couple of days you get some sort of definite answer. I really hope that your beta shoots up over the next couple of days!

Oh no! I have just gone through 3 weeks of beta hell, I think 10 beta draws, and 2 ultrasounds. My doubling time was more like 4 days+ though, so I knew it wouldn't end well (I had a blighted ovum). My beta finally dropped on Tuesday after I started spotting on Monday, and had AF. I go back in next week for a final beta check.
Hang in there, like pp said, there are lots of ladies with betas lower or with doubling times longer than yours and had successful pregnancies. I checked in on PAIF just to get some feedback.

I had it a bit of beta hell with my 2nd pregnancy and it is horrible.
Hang on and see what happens on Monday, then if things are clear you can talk to your doc about options, if the pregnancy ends.

I'm sorry you are going through this! Your betas are still ok, don't give up yet! Keep taking your progesterone untill (IF!!!) the pregnancy is found to be nonviable. I just had a blighted ovum. I stopped my progesterone and two days later I started to spot. Three days later I started to bleed on my own. I hope that you have a happy ending! Try to stay positive!

Hang in there, hon! I don't know what to tell you since I haven't been in that situation, but I think I'd still be a little hopeful since it is going up. You can have a slow rising beta and still end up with a healthy pregnancy.
