XP: Progesterone Injection help needed

I am a bit terrified about my husband giving me my injection of progesterone for the first time tonight. I have watched the videos and looked for helpful hints...but I am still looking for more....do you ladies have anything?

The only advice i have is to inject very slowly... also this may or may not work for everyone... but use heat afterwards.  The few people i know that have use PIO said heat after helped them.  Good luck!!!

I would lay down on my stomach with my feet hanging off the bed. This seemed to relax my muscles more. It seemed that the correct position was more important than anything else - imagine your butt cheek divided evenly in 4 quadrants. You want to inject in the top quadrant closest to your hip. Some ice before to numb the area and some say massage or walking after helps to work it into the muscle. Regardless of the approach expect to have a bruised, sore bum after 2 weeks. Also never inject with the needle you draw it up with!! I also would take a deep breath and have him inject with my exhale.
