In the past when I was bored I would jot down baby names I liked on a scrap piece of paper. Of course eventually I would lose it, but it didn't really matter back then. Now that we are planning to TTC in a few months, I would like a place to keep track of names I like. We are obviously just starting out with this whole thing, so I have a long list of names and am still discovering more I like. I started making a list on Word, but it gets tricky with using columns and adding in a name later. Or I could just write them on a piece of paper and keep it in a folder or binder, but I'd rather something on my computer. Is there such a thing as an online site that you can use to save your favorites? What does everyone use to keep track of their names?
Re: How do you keep track of your fav baby names?
This.
1/12/13 DD was born
4/9/16 DS was born
9/17 CP
6/23/18 BFP EDD 3/4/19
BFP #1 9/7/10, EDD 5/14/11, Violet born 5/27/11.
BFP #2 4/9/12, EDD 12/16/12, M/C Rory 4/24/12.
BFP #3 10/6/12, EDD 6/16/12., Matilda born 6/17/13.
DH and I have a shared Google spreadsheet. That way, we can both add stuff when we're away from home and leave comments.
DH bolds the ones he likes and I italicize the ones I like. It makes it easy to find overlap.

What a great idea!
Those of you that use spreadsheets, did you make them yourself or download them from somewhere? I use a spreadsheet for financial stuff, but it was downloaded. I have no clue how to make them myself.

This is what I do. I never even thought of having a spreadsheet or word document for baby names.
Thanks for the link, but I did a search under public templates for "baby names" and I got nothing.

We don't have a template. We have a basic Google Docs spreadsheet, looks like an Excel spreadsheet but it's accessible from anywhere with an internet connection. Column A is boy names, Column B is boy name comments, Column C is girl names, Column D is girl name comments.

Right now, I have a folder in my email box dedicated to names. I've gotten a lot of inspiration here so if I like a name someone posts, I email it to myself. LOL.
With DD/DS, I literally had a paper and pen list. I didn't brainstorms for names until I was already pregnant (and out of first tri). I'd hear a name and write it down. If DH vetoed it, I'd cross it off. If DH said maybe I circled it. When we had it narrowed down to like 3 names, we finally just chose one.
I downloaded the Baby Names Premium app on my phone.
Let me search/browse names and see the ranking and meaning. Lets me make a list of girl and boy names---and I can email the list to people if I want to.
I like it because I always have my phone with me, so if I'm out somewhere and like a name I can add it instantly.
