Hi, I am three weeks late and still getting a BFN. I took a test at 1 week late, 10 days, 12 days, and 14 days. At first I was just testing to be sure it was stress related, but now I think I may actually be preggers. We weren't trying but it would be a wonderful surprise for both!
Symptoms have come on and off; Strage light cramps in my ovaries and in my lower belly, head aches, VERY strange cloudy mind- almost high felling for two days, lower back and abdomen cramps for over a week, breasts only slightly tender.
I have NEVER experienced either of these except for breast tenderness which I havent had since going off BC 6 months ago?
Anyone had anything similar?? On days when symtoms are stronger I feel I KNOW that I'm pregnant, but on days when they are not I think it is all in my head. Any imput much appreciated!
Re: Over two weeks late and BFN
you should see a doctor before jumping to any conclusions either way.
i stopped my BC and experienced similar symptoms because your hormones are getting used to the change. your body is trying to get used to its "normal" routine pre-BC. VERY similar to pregnancy symptoms.
also, the more you tell your body you're "pregnant", the more your body will react. (think placebo effect) a few women have gone through the whole 9 month phase just because they "felt" pregnant and were not. not to knock your excitement!!! i would just want to know for sure before getting MY hopes up.
either way, i'm sending you positive thoughts and good vibes!!!
Thanks for the input guys. I have been thinking the same thing. Once you convince yourself it is a possibility, it's kinda hard not to obsess...
I will update- thanks again!
Not confirmed, but I'm pretty sure that I did. TMI- but sex drive goes WAY up for those few days.
Thanks for responding!
Your body can gear up to O (sex drive, increased vaginal discharge, etc) and then not, it is not uncommon at all for that to happen. I would say at this point you either ovulated late and will hopefully get your period soon or you haven't ovulated yet at all.
The general rule is that if you have enough pregnancy hormone in your system to have symptoms then you have enough to turn a HPT positive. There are very, very rare cases where the hormone does not get metabolized in the urine and therefore the urine tests would be negative but blood would be positive, but again that is very rare.
