I lost a baby in January and started my period again just a few weeks later and my husband and I started trying TTC again right away. We got pregnant the first month we tried the first time, so it is incredibly frustrating that it's taking much longer this time. We even tired the ovulation predictor kits to figure out when I'm ovulating and it still didn't work. And, not to over share, bt my AF has been really strange. Every month my cycle gets longer. They went form 21 days, to 29 days to 31 days and my last 1 was 37 days! I'm starting to worry that something is wrong with me, but I don't want to jump the gun with making a doctors appointment for nothing. Is anybody else having the same issues?
Re: How long before I worry that something is wrong?
It's not unusual to have wonky cycles for a few months after a miscarriage. And you may end up with a "new normal" and your body may never be like it was before you got pregnant before. Remember that it can take a normal couple up to a year to conceive, so just because you got pregnant the first cycle before, doesn't necessarily mean that will happen again, and that something is wrong with you if that is the case.
The general rule is to wait a year of trying before calling a doctor, or 6 months with well-timed intercourse. If you want to start doing OPKs and temping, you may learn more about your body/cycle and improve your chances, or at least have more information to discuss with your doctor.
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
This. Cycles can be wonky after a m/c for many months... and then you settle into a new normal. Sometimes your new normal will be the same, sometimes it's different either for the best or worse.
Is 37 day cycles your longest??? You have nothing to worry about there sweetie! 37 days is nothing!

What Rosie added is exactly what I was thinking. I know that it seems like forever, but it really isn't. To pass the time, start charting, temping, etc. so that you are more aware of your body and your cycles and it will happen before you know it....unless you are me....
