I did a lot of looking before I found out I was having girls, but I didn't find that much to coordinate boy/girl. It's hard to find something that flows together, unless you go neutral (which I'm not a fan of...not because it's not cute, just because I'm a all girl/all boy kind of decorator).
Anyway, I found this nursery rhyme set that has blue, pink, or yellow accents. It's mostly white, but I loved it! I was going to have someone do a mural on the wall with things like Humpty Dumpty, Little Boy Blue, etc. on the boy's side, and things like Little Miss Muffett, Mother Goose, etc. on the girl's side. To connect the two sides of the room, I was going to have her paint Jack and Jill to tie it all together. My thoughts were old-fashioned look, with muted, subtle, neutral colors on the walls, etc., but pink and blue in their actual beds.
I think the site (which had other coordinating sets) was somthing like Carousel Designs (maybe babybedding.com)?
Babysupermall.com has really good deals on bedding. I didn't get 'matching sets' for our B/G twins, but the ones that I did choose both have monkeys on them. Our daughters base in pink with green and purple and our sons base on green with brown and beiges. To tie them together we have light green walls.

I didn't buy bedding sets since I read/heard so many times not to use bumpers or anything besides sheets. I ended up getting a couple of cute matching sheet sets, for instance pink and brown dots for her and blue and brown dots for him. Just Amazon and Babies R Us.
I bought striped fabric at Joann's to make curtains and crib skirts. My mom is making them fleece blankets with safari animals on one side and something special for each of them on the other. There was no way I was going to spend the money on the above set. We can't set up the nursery until June 1st, so I can't tell you how it turned out yet.

I totally agree with that. We don't want to buy a complete set either. I'm thinking sheet and dust ruffle. I found one that I sort of liked but the dust ruffle alone was $100!!!!! I couldn't believe it!

I really wanted pink since this is my first and only girl, so I was looking for something in pink and blue. Our nursery is based off these sets:
