Ended up miscarrying...

Posted on the 5th, that I had started spotting the night before, waited it out till Monday, and they confirmed the miscarriage then. (I think I was in denial and didn't want to face it) Had a follow up appt yesterday and they said my HCG level was 244? Seems oftly low compared to those I've seen.

Now just trying to wrap my head around everything that has happened... I have two kids already, so never expected something like this to happen. I think I'm still in shock. I was due December 24th, and was secretly hoping for a christmas miracle.

I am so sorry you are here. My EDD was 12/25. I am sure you are going through a lot right now, and it is hard to initially get your head around. I am so so sorry and I hope you find comfort reading the posts here. It's helped me a lot. T&Ps to you.

I'm so sorry you found yourself here. A lot of us on the board right now were quite attached to our holiday babies I think and are already dreading Christmas without them. I hate how random and unfair this whole thing is. Hugs to you.

I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Your low hCG isn't a bad sign - in fact, after a m/c it's nice if it drops back to 0 very quickly. The only thing to worry about is if it doesn't drop or even goes back up. That could be a sign that your body hasn't passed all the tissue and you need a D&C.

Try to take care of yourself as best you can. :-(

I am so sorry for your loss. I agree with pp that everyone here were due around the holidays so it will definitely be a bittersweet time for most of us. Mine was due around Thanksgiving and I was already thinking about cute holiday cards to send out with the new baby.

I have just really taken it one day at a time and letting myself grieve and dealing with it in the most positive way I know how. Sending you big hugs, thoughts, and prayers to get through this.
