She had a 3 day transfer on Monday. When should she start testing to more than likely get a positive if it's gonna be positive? She's been devastated many, many, many times before (like us all) and is not a compulsive POASer. What would you suggest? I started AF before my beta with my IVF...so I'm not much help to her.
Re: When should SIL test after her IVF?
I'm a big proponent of not testing until 12 dpo (or 12 days past retrieval for her which is around Wed the 16th if I'm doing my math right)
Anything before that and I worry it might be trigger.
A negative at 12 dpo for most is accurate.
Fingers crossed for her!

i think to be 100% sure you have to wait until 14 days post retrieval. before 14 days there's still a tiny chance that a BFP is trigger or a BFN is wrong. i know it seems like forever, but my philosophy is that there's no point in testing if you're not sure that you can believe it. but i know i'm in the minority in arguing that one should wait that long.
i'll never do an HPT again. the two cycles that i did HPTs were BFNs and the cycle that i waited for my beta was a BFP. so i've decided that HPTs are bad luck for me.
I think this is great advice. I tested last time day before my beta because as PP said, I wanted to be prepped. I probably would've test sooner had I not worked the whole weekend though
GL to your SIL!

Same here... at 6dpt5dt I had a really faint line which got darker daily.
If she had a 3dt, she should get a faint line around 8dpt3dt. Good luck to her!
