35 weeks and contractions have started.

I am 35 weeks today and I started having contractions yesterday. They are uncomfortable, but not painful-yet! And, they're not timeable, they come and go. Doctor said to drink more water, take it easy, and if they become more painful or timeable to give her a call otherwise she wasn't concerned and just said it was my body progressing and getting ready. I hope he stays put for a few weeks longer.

Same boat, just one week later. Lost bits of mucus plug I think and having kind of period-like cramps. Seeing doc today for routine visit, but was told to try and relax.

I had contractions start a few weeks ago. Mine are painful, but tolerable. I hoping it means that she won't be overdue!

  • I've had a few I think, and I lost my MP.  Like BH contractions but with the added bonus of pretty intense cramping.

  • Had the same thing happen to me last week, at 31 weeks 4 days. I lost my mucus plug in the morning and decided to take myself to our ob (an hour and a half away) - on the drive I started having contractions, and by the time I got to the office they were 4 minutes apart and super strong... they ended up keeping me in the hospital over night and giving me a shot to stop them. Thankfully, it worked... but now I'm on bed rest and bored out of my mind. We're hoping to keep our LO in until 37 weeks.. I'm just praying for a healthy baby!

  • I started having some minor period-like cramping about a week and a half ago. I usually get 2-3 'episodes'/day (I say episodes because it's nothing timeable and the feeling lasts for a few minutes each time, so I don't know that I could call them any sort of contractions). No plug loss for me yet, though! (at least not as far as I've noticed)

same here! :) I gave my boss a heart attack when we were meeting - I had the most intense one yet. She practically fell off her chair in concern that I would be leaving already. Now I'm working on a ridiculously detailed leave plan and my temp is coming in earlier than planned lol.

Update- Just back from Doc. I've lost weight and fundal height is a tiny bit off in the "large" direction.  Ultrasound shows vertex baby, a tiny bit on small side with normal fluid (good since I have GD).   So basically I was told that early labor warning signs can mean hours or weeks away. There is no way to know. We have a healthy baby girl who will come when she decides to come. No sooner.

  • I usually start with a lot of BH at that point, lasts 2-3 wks for me.
