Adoption
Need help with portfolio...
So, we are using Catholic Charities, and they only use "dear birth mother letters" with a photo. We do not do a portfolio or book or anything like that. But they are allowing us to ad a 'one pager' of photos and info. about us, in addition to the letter. Does anyone have a sample of something like this that they did? We would love to see it!

We did a 20 pg book on Shutterfly. I used these sites:

Ours was only 2 pages. It was on scrapblog so e-copies are gone. I just found the paper copy though.
The first page had a very brief dear birthparent letter. Then we had an "About DH" paragraph, including his age, occupation, and hobbies. We also mentioned his family and how close he was to them. Same for me on the other side of a picture of the 2 of us. Then we had a paragraph about how we met, what we like to do together, and how our families felt about us adopting.
The second page was a series of pictures of us, our families, pets, house, etc. with captions.

Do look at Our Chosen Child. She does great work and you can get an idea of what works well. (If you have extra budget, I am sure she'd work on a one-pager for you... and I think she is so worth the money!).
I would focus on good pictures that are large. We made the mistake of having our first profile word heavy and telling a story with small pics. It didn't appeal to people. So we changed it... and it helped.
